The Association for Law, Property & Society is incorporated as a not‑for‑profit corporation under the laws of the State of New York.
The Association is a membership organization for scholars doing interdisciplinary legal scholarship on all aspects of property law and policy including; real, personal, intellectual, intangible, cultural, personal, and other forms of property. ALPS seeks to encourage dialogue across and among people in many disciplines that are interested in property law, policy, and theory.
Its objectives are:
- To provide a forum for the exchange of ideas;
- To foster critical discussions of new knowledge; and
- To encourage international and interdisciplinary cooperation.
